My Sony computer has "giga pocket" software. Try that...
giga pocket->functions->display external input->video2(front)
This worked for audio only for me...

I forgot, after you record under "giga pocket" your actual recording will be
found in "giga picket explorer", a separate program. You wil not be saving
the file yourself, the computer automatically saves it and assigns it a name.

What makes you think Jack is still looking for a solution nearly two
months after he posted?

I know that. This was for the benefit of others searching for an answer to
this problem. Duh... Myself, for example, I just looked this up today
before I figured out how to do it myself.
What an obnoxious post you made.
