have had xp for about 12 mnths now and recycle bin has never worked, when i
delete a file it does not got to recycle bin but is deleted permenantly. have
checked settings and they seem to be correct. Am not a computer genius so
please speak slowly and use simple words...thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi
Right Click Recycle Bin /Left Click properties > Global >Check
"Use one setting for all drives" > Uncheck "Do not move files to the recycle
bin"
