i understand that i need to open a port on my router to use remote
assistance, problem is i don't recall which port to open.

ok, opened the 3389 port on the router, but i still get an unable to resolve
host error.

any thoughts?

I'm also getting this message. I have successfully connected to my Mom's pc
in the past, but now I get this message. How do you open that port on your
router? I also have a router. Any help is greatly appreciated.
