- remote assistance
- Posted by lora on October 14th, 2005
When I accept someone's invitation to help them it shows that I accept and
then my remote assistance program closes. I have also tried to ask for help
to see what the program does and it closes instantly once I ask for help. I
am assuming that I have a problem with the program. How do I re-install the
program and if I have to re-install Windows XP will it effect the other
programs on my pc?

Hi lora!
First things first, If you do reload windows you it will affect every
programe you have installed on your PC, so that is your last option!
Regarding your remote assistance, I'm not sure I can help you, check your
connection speed, it may be to slow.
I hope someone can help you, sorry can't do more, but really beleive
reloading XP is the last option to take, you'll have to reload all sofwares
and do all updates including XP updates, SP2, media players, etc. etc. etc.
DONT GO THERE! If you dont really, really, really, need to. and if you do
make sure you save all you work and files to CD's or other hard drive in
order to have a backup of your Picture, Photos, Doc's, etc.
Good luck!
Dom

Thank you very much for your help. I was afraid that would happen if I reload
so yes I have put that as a last option. Thanks again!
