- Remote Desktop Hangs for 60 seconds
- Posted by Jeff Shaw on May 16th, 2006
When I minimize an RDP session for a few miniutes and then maximize it again
it appears that the connection is lost. Usually the screen is all black. I
can cursor around the screen and click but nothing happens. After about 60
seconds a network type icon appears in the upper right corner and then a few
seconds later the screen redraws and everything is OK. It is quite annoying
when I have to look at another system for something and then everytime I come
back to the RDP session I have to wait 60 seconds before I can do anything.
Anyone know how to shorten this time or some action that will reestablish the
connection faster ?
