- Remove wrong driver
- Posted by news.microsoft.com on January 19th, 2006
For I could not find an win xp-driver for terratec sondsystem base1, I
installed one avalable for win nt. Of course I was informed, that it would
not have passed the compatibility-test of XP-pro, but I thought, I might try
anyway. After restarting the system no more user could log in anymore. Up to
the login windows starts just as usual, but as soon as I coose my or someone
eleses user-ID, there very quickly appears a bluescreen an the system
reboots. The bluescreen is so shortly to be seen, that I can not even read
one word only.
Is there a way to start XP-pro in kind of a save mode, logon an remove this
driver again? What is likely going to happen, if I just remove the
soundsystem?
