Hi,
Is there anyway to Repair or Reinstall Services in "Services.msc" in the
event that some of the services got corrupted.

We are having a problem starting the "MS Software Shadow Copy" service. We
keep getting "Error 1053: The Service did not respond to the Start or Control
request in a timely manner".

We tried the resolution in Microsoft's Article ID: 839174 which was to
Install the latest Service Pack for the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 but this
didn't solve the problem.

We also had a suggestion to Disable APC but we couldn't find any APC on our
computer to disable.

We are having this problem on an IBM NetVista computer running Windows XP
Home, SP2.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
