- Restart not working correctly

For some reason today my computer starting doing this: When I select
Start/ShutDown/Restart ... the computer shuts down instead of
rebooting/restarting. I can not find any info anywhere to explain this.
I can find lots on the other way around. Any help out here???

JohnM rambled on in microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support:
Do you have ad-watch loading on startup? It can cause problems with restarts
shutdowns.
