Search Companion: Unexpected Error Action could not be completed

I have this error message whenever I try to search on my XP system. Search
used to work but now it doesn't after several updates and patches.

I tried reinstalling from the inf file but that does not help

You Sir, are a gent and a scholar...my problem is no more. Strnagely, I had
been to the support site and had attempted to make the registry entry...I
used the wrong brackets and made a mess of it.

Thanks for your help.
