second request - 1904 error - can anyone help?
Posted by califlefty on January 15th, 2006

Hi all - tried to install Windows powertool "Raw Veiwer" and received the
following error message every time I try to either install, repair, or
uninstall.

error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Pro Imaging Powertoys\Microsoft RAW Image
Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP\CrxRawHandler.dll failed to register.
HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

Running Win XP SP2 fully updated + NETframework 2.0
My skill level is intermediate - I can edit the registry but will need step
by step instructions.

Many thanks!

There are no reported solutions for your particular problem but
this possibility is worth trying:
http://snipurl.com/ll3g

Disable DEP. It may be that if it works you can re-enable DEP
without undoing what you have done whilst it was disabled.

A detailed description of the Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Tablet
PC Edition 2005, and Windows Server 2003

How to determine that hardware DEP is available and
configured on your computer

Hope this helps.
