I have a Windows based software that I have been using for several years.

It usually processes a file in about 35 minutes.

Lately software is making similar processing in about 6 hours!

Software is DVD shrink (V3.2) that reduces ISO file size to prepare for
burning.

I have noticed a message from Windows that indicated that Windows virtual
memory is taxed.

Yet my virtual memory is set correctly (about one and one half times
memory - 512 MB Ram) .

What can I do to assess if this virtual memory issue may be the
cause of the reduction in processing in DVD Shrink?

I deleted DVD Shrink and reinstalled it.

I had originally used system restore and that got things working fine for a
day,
but problem came back.

I made no Windows system changes that I can think of between the good
processing and the slowdown.

I cleaned my system and defragged.

Please advise with specific instructions.

problem persists...

but am going deeper now to MS Windows Help
as the virtual memory message came up

coincidentally?? or not??,

about taxed virtual memory and this problem
then could be more appropriate for an MS forum?

Response - Keep in mind that though virtual memory size is set to the
"minimum" requirement current applications running may have extended
requirements. Suggest you use Task Manager to view CPU usage and Page File
usage and history.

CPU usage averages 3 to 6 % normally, sometimes as low as 1%,
page file is about 350 of 1058 MB

I usually disable NAV 2005 and Internet when processing...
