Specific User account cannot see Cannon (TWAIN) Scanner

I have been using a Cannon scanner with Paperport 10 document software for a
while with no problems. But I think some registry entries got screwed up and
now my main user account (an admin account) cannot see the scanner (probably
the TWAIN Folder, the Cannon rep tells me).

However, I can create another user account and that account can see the
scanner. The scanner works fine on that account.

Anyone know where to look to get the answer. I've tried quaite a few places
with no luck.
