Strange error message
Posted by PennyM on December 4th, 2005

Just got through with a clean reinstall of WinXp with adding
SP2 (long story) and everything is working good...I think?
A couple days after I finish reinstall my kept files I started
the computer and this box pops up................ ERROR
InvokeMethod: Failed
IEnumWbemClassObject::Next
(OK)
...........................

-- I have looked using Google and the Microsoft data base but
can't seem to find what it is much less how to get rid of it! Ran my Virus
scanners with nothing coming up for it!
I assume it has something to do with Internet Explorer, even though
everything seems to be running fine with it!
Thanks for any help!!

I actually saw this a few months ago... a customer of mine updated to
sp2, and got that error after the update... after some classic
diagnostics (turning software off, until the problem went away ;-) We
pinpointed it to a modem that was installed... One that was capable of
what is called "call on hold" or something similar... where you can be
online, receive a call, place the internet on hold to take the call,
and switch back to the internet when you are done.

The software continued to work fine, just with that error.

I am curious about this one, please let me know if this is indeed the
same for you.
