- suspend/resume problem
- Posted by Peter on April 24th, 2008
My XP Pro SP2 box has suddenly stopped resuming from suspend. It
worked fine up until about a week ago. Now, on touching a key the hard
drive LED steadies (it flashes during suspend) and I can hear the
drives waking up. But the screen remains blank.
The only way to wake the screen is to reboot, after which I get the
"system has recovered from a serious error" message. Following that up
leads to info about updating my graphics drivers - but I've done that
since this started happening, and it didn't fix the problem.
The machine is on automatic updates for XP.
Any ideas gratefully received...
