Trouble opening MSOffice files
Posted by harryhb on October 20th, 2005

I have a Dell 8400, 6 months old, running XP, Office Basic Edition 2003, lots
of disc and memory. Recently, I am having difficulty in opening Word/Excel
files from a folder. The path is C:\Documents and
Settings\MyDocuments\MyDocuments\HfH\WorkSummary\2 005 HfH Work Summary.exe,
and the message I get after a long pause is "There is a problem sending the
command to the program". Suggestions?

The .exe extension indicates an executable (program) file. It should not be
used to name a folder or other type of file.
