- Trouble for other machine on my home wireless lan accessing XP mac
- Posted by Don M on January 7th, 2006
I have a sympatico wireless lan setup in my home. I have 3 machines. 2
machines are Windows 2000 and 1 is Windows XP Home Edition. All of the
machines are able to see each other on the net and the 2 Windows 2000
machines are accessible to all other machines, BUT ... none of the Wondows
2000 machines can access files on the Windows XP Home Edition machine. What
am I doing wrong ?

Ha ! I helped myself and the answer was "Turn off Windows XP Firewall"
(thanks to a post in the "Wireless Network" group.
