- Unable to prevent hibernation
- Posted by Smokey Bear on December 20th, 2007
I used to be able to go into control panel and set the length of time before
the system went into hibernation. There was even a setting for never.
Now there are no options.
Looking for some direction please

Was it control panel---power options? Do you have a hibernate tab in power
options?

Yes it was in control panel/power options and there is a hibernate tab.
There is an enable hibernation option and it is unchecked (I don't want it
to hibernate)

Is it actually hibernating? Does all power shut off?

I think it is in hibernation. The screen is black and the monitor comes
alive on movement of the mouse. I don't hear any increase in action from
the harddrive.
I have no options available through "power schemes"
Also no options available to set times to turn off harddrive or monitor. I
have no options available to set times for system hibernate or standby.
Thank you
