ok i seem to have a problem that ive never ever seen before in all my years
of working with computers. i have a computer with xp pro, posts correctly and
everything goes good till it hits the login screen where it says "click on a
user name to continue"....... problem is there isnt a name to choose from.
something is really wrong as i cant get past this point no matter what i try,
safe mode DOES NOT WORK, ive had alot of ppl say try this in safe mode try
this safe mode, SAFE MODE DOES NOT WORK. all it says is click on user name to
continue, but there are no usernames to chose from so i cant get into windows
at all.

any ideas, suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as i am all out of ideas
as to what to do with this.

Consider XP repair. Boot with XP CD - continue past first repair option -
continue and select second repair option.
