What version of Norton? Do you get the Blue Screen of Death? If so, please
write down the error. It could be a conflict with Norton or a hardware
issue.

I have Windows XP sp1 PC. Recently it began to crash some hours after boot
and this phenomena is a routine. I tried to update and run Norton anti virus
and also AD-Ware anti virus but nothing helps.
If I boot to safe mode it doesn't crash all but Norton refuses to run - it
crashes.

Can some advise please?

Regards

Sam

This sounds like a virus that has disabled Nortons. You should keep the
virus definitions up to date at all times.

I believe that the Nortons site will do an online scan. Otherwise, see
if you can beg borrow or steal a copy of another virus program to check
your machine, preferably from a floppy or CD.
