I am unable to format a floppy disk. I get the above remark right at the end
of the formatting. I had another remark, " The floppy disk controller
reported an error that is not recognized by the floppy disk driver."; but
just the one time. I have updated the drivers for both the floppy driver and
controller. Also, I noticed at the beginning of boot up a comment.." Floppy
disk fail (40)." I am using Windows XP Home Edition, sp2. I am able to read
floppies. I'm also not able to use quick format or make a MS-Dos start up
disk.
