- Windows XP Pro freezes at startup
- Posted by Chet on January 13th, 2006
Hi, I got a blue screen but the pc rebooted before i could read it. Now
windows freezes before it even gets to the splash screen. There are no error
messages. All drives are detected in bios and functioning correctly. When i
try to start windows in safe mode or last know state it still freezes before
splash screen,. I tried going into system recovery, but my two raid drives
are not detected in the recovery console(they are functioning properly
though). Does anyone know if this is a recoverable problem? Also if not, can
i re-install Windows and then do a full restore, from a backup, of my C:
drive while windows is running? Thanks in advance.
