- XP pro on wrong drive
- Posted by Lexi on February 13th, 2006
My computer has 2 hard drives c: & D: I upraded from ME to xp . WP was
installed on D: and my original ME is on C: with all my program files. What
happened? When I boot it gives me a choice either xp or me. The xp seems to
be working fine. Also the C: drive is fat32, drive D: is NTFS. Should I
delete the files on C: and reformat it to NTFS or should I reinstall XP to
the C: Drive?

Are you sure you Upgraded ME to XP?? Sure sounds like you performed a full
install of XP. If I was you, I would back up all personal data and perform a
clean install of XP.

What type of installation disk do you have? An upgrade or full install XP
cd? If you have an upgrade disk, do you have qualifying media to perform the
upgrade?
