XP Professional Recovery Console requires password
Posted by Bobbi on November 28th, 2007

I just upgraded to XP Professional and installed the Recovery Console. When
I attempt to launch the Console, it requires an administrator's password. I
am the original and only user of this pc and have never had a password as
administrator. I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

If you can boot normally, somewhere in the Administrator Tools there's a
setting to avoid this and as well allow access to everything on pc when in
recovery console.
