Cannot open Word or Excel 2007 Beta documents

Are you still running the beta version or are you running one of the 60 day trials? I would download a trial version, especially if you intend to purchase Office 2007 when it is released. No more beta code, lots of fixes in the RTM version and you get to use it for at least as long as it takes for the retail version to go on sale where you are.

After furious head scratching, vinflo asked:

| I can't access any of my Word or Excel documents! I get the message
| "The file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has detected a
| problem with the file". Alternately, I get the message "the file is
| not available". This can happen immediately after creating a new
| document, saving it then trying to re-open it.
|
| I didn't have this problem upon initial installation of Office 2007
| Beta. I was able to access all Word and Excel documents for some
| time before this problem occurred. The only thing I did recently
| that I can think of was download the new release of Internet Explorer.
|
| Any help is surely appreciated.

Still running Beta. Wasn't aware of the trial versions - I'll try the trial
version since I do intend to purchase Office 2007. Thanks for the suggestion
Milly.
