Change font size in toolbars
Posted by Tom on February 8th, 2007

Hi All,

Though it will take some time to learn the newer layout scheme of Office
2007 in the toolbar, is there a way to make the fonts in the toolbars larger
or bolder for easier reading? I can see them OK, but my wife's vision is not
good, and with the candy land toolbar colors of blue, black and silver, they
make it especially hard for her to see.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Tom

In the past this was controlled within Windows, not Office. Did you try
looking under Display in the Control Panel? (Office 2007 may be different
but it's worth looking.)

Thanks JoAnn,

I guess the real problem lies in the color scheme which depending on the
color one uses, makes the font difficult to read. Using the "black" scheme
seems to be the best for seeing th fonts. I just wish one can see it as it
was in 2003 and before. Changing the fonts in the display is not an option,
as I use Classic in Windows (I don't like Aero) and reading anything else
other than Office apps is OK, even for my wife.

Anyway, thanks for you suggestion :-)

Tom

So you are also using Vista as well as Office 2007. Perhaps if you posted in
a Vista newsgroup, someone over there may be able to give you so
suggestions.

It is the same in Vista as in XP, except you can actually choose a font size
percentage. The problem is (I wish the develpoers at MS would read these
from tiem to time), is that if she uses her logon, and makes the change for
readability, the it change mine too. Like one not being about to have their
own graphics resolution size for their screen for each logon.

Again as before, I appreciate any help you offer, and really appreciate the
quick replies, you and those that do these groups with your own time is
greatly appreciated and I know you all give your all when offering help :-)

Thanks,
Tom

I don't have a lot of time working with Vista so I can't help you more. You
might want to post in a Vista group. It can't hurt.
