- Custom Installation Wizard
- Posted by sprucio on November 19th, 2005
I've recently downloaded "ork.exe" and now am trying to configure a
unattended install for Microsoft Office 2003.
On step 10 of the "Custom Installation Wizard," it displays "Change Office
User Settings." This looks like the group policy editor and I was wondering
if there was a way to update these settings.
On my computer, I have donwloaded the new ADM files that have more settings
than the settings offered on this "Change Office User Settings."
If anyone has any idea if this can be obtained, it would be greatly
appreciated.

OK.
After doing some reading, I found out that the OPA files that were bundled
with the ADM files are exactly what I was looking for.
After importing these files to the correct directory, I re-ran CIW and
although some settings have been added, it looks like the ADM files still
have more to offer.
Example:
1. Under the group policy editor -
User Configuration\Microsoft Office Excel 2003\Tools|Macro\Security
This has four settings.
2. Under CIW, the same location as the group policy editor-
Only 2 settings.
Any thoughts?
