Have I too many CD-Roms?
Posted by Rognic on March 9th, 2006

Have just installed the upgrade version of Office Pro 2003 (from Works
Suite 2001). I have XP Home edition installed, also an upgrade from
Windows 98 2nd edition.
Installation was excellent, very quick, and everything seems to be
working fine. But.... I have only had to use the 1st CD-Rom! No
apparent requirement for the other two in the pack!
Am I in a fool's paradise? Regards

Other two CDs in what pack? What do the disks say?

The other two CDs say "Disc 2 Version 2006" and "Service Pack 2".
"Discs 1 & 2 " are ornately 'security' printed; and also printed with
the numbers "0705 Part No. X11-47009" and "0705 Part No. X11- 47008",
respectively. "Service Pack 2" is simply printed in black and numbered
"1005 Part No.X11-74620".
Next to the Product Key, on the orange label inside the pack, it says
"Office11".
I have only needed to use "Disc 1" it seems. Regards.

I assume you did your updates via the Internet. It seems that your version
came with them on a CD. Hang on to it just in case. In case of what? I don't
know - just in case. ;-)
