- How to remove standard Word and Excel templates
- Posted by Kanga on June 1st, 2008
I have configured a location for Workgroup templates in Office 2003 and
placed our company templates in this network location.
However, when a user selects File - New, they see the company templates PLUS
the standard Microsoft templates. I want them only to see the company
templates and so I deleted the templates from C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Templates\1033. However, the users can still see the Microsoft
templates in the list. if they click on a templates it will try and repair
and install the template again.
How can I successfully remove the Microsoft templates from being accessible
to users?
Thanks
Kanga
