- Installation on Vista
- Posted by Linda on June 23rd, 2008
I have Microsoft Office 97 Professional Edition and purchased
Microsoft Office XP Professional Upgrade. I have now changed laptops
and retired the old one. Vista is on the new laptop and I am trying
to install Office. Will this work on Vista? I keep having the
installation hang on Vista. What do I need to do? Hopefully I don't
have to purchase Office Professional again. Is another upgrade
necessary to run it on Vista?
What are the steps that I need to install this?
Thank you,
Linda

Office 97 is considered obsolete and is therefore not
supported for installation on Windows Vista.
