- installing office 2003 on new vista computer
- Posted by csledhead on August 15th, 2007
I bought a new computer with Vista. When I try to install office 2003 Pro, I
keep getting the error message "error executing file E:/office 11
disc1-proffesional/setup.exe The requested operation requires elevation"
What does this mean? any help appreciated. It worked fine on my old computer
with window XP

It means it needs to be run as administrator.
Browse to the e:\office 11disc1-proffesional folder, right click on
setup.exe and choose run as admin.

It worked!!! Many thanks. I should have known that, because I've had to use
that method for other set-ups. It was easier to set things up in win. XP..
Eric A your a genius!!! CAS
