How can this be done if i had originally office 2000 and
upgraded to xp

Uninstall Office XP from the boot drive.
Start the installation of OfficeXP, choose custom installation and tell it
you wish it to install on the slave drive. If it asks for the location of a
previous qualifying version, simply swap CDs over and put in the Office2000
CD. It will check that it's the righ CD, you'll then swap the CDs back and
the installation will continue.
