- MSBlast patch hosed my MS Office over network!
- Posted by David Hogan on August 18th, 2003
Server, WS 2K, SP3 on all (no SP4, running ACAD). Ran patch, MS Office 2000
cannot open documents over network. Removed patch, still can't. Did the
patch hose the registry?

Hi, David,
Eric from Microsoft posted this in the microsoft.public.officeupdate group,
so you might want to head over there and respond to his thread:

Thanks, I hadn't checked there.
W2000 Pro, SP3 (no SP4 because may upgrade to AutoCAD 2004)
Assume so, if it was included in SP3: V2 2600.2
I'll go through this, but I didn't get that error message, and MS Office
applications start up, but the MSI file can't be found when I try to
repair/detect and I can't open files over the network (even after
reinstalling).
I should mention that SP3 has been installed on these PCs for 4 months
without any problems until the patch was applied.
V2 2600.2
