- office 2000 Pro not working when installed on XP home
- Posted by istrup on October 27th, 2004
My windows 98 has recently been enchanged with a windows xp home.
My internet and email is operating. I did then reinstall my office 2000 pro
programme and apparently the installation was by the computer claimed to have
been succesfull. But when I try to start any of the programmes or try to open
one of my many office files, I always get a message like "Microsoft Excel for
Windows has detected a failure and closses down. Sorry for the disturbance"
(translation from danish). I have uninstalled the programmes and made a new
reinstallation, but with the same result ??
What do I do wrong?
The installation of the windows xp home was made by the local shop.
