- Office 2003 Deployment via a GPO
- Posted by Harrison Midkiff on November 3rd, 2003
Hello:
I am in the process of deploying Office 2003 via a GPO using the Office 2003
Resource Kit tool. I have created a mst file using the "Custom Installation
Wizard" and then used orca to make it a msi but the I must be doing
something wrong because it never deploys with the settings. Some of the
settings are:
Show full menus
Macro security set to Medium
Set Outlook 2003 Junk email features
Set Outlook 2003 email editor
Set Outlook 2003 to close original message when replying
Set Outlook 2003 AutoArchive feature to off
Does anyone know the steps to configure these options on a deployment?

You want to just take the files that you already have and use them, the msi
is already there. It is the pro11.msi. In GPO you just need to add the mst
file in as a modification. I'm not sure about the Outlook settings.
