I keep getting "Internal MSI error. Installer terminated prematurely"
when installing Office 2003.
This occurs when the Action "ProcessComponents" (Updating component
registration) is running:

Action 5:37:07: ProcessComponents. Updating component registration
MSI (s) (7C:24) [05:37:11:125]: Internal MSI error. Installer
terminated prematurely.

I actually have the same problem when trying to install other things
too (e.g. .NET Framework Redistributable 1.1 or 2.0). The install fails
at the point of "updating component registration".

Try start >run >msiexec /unreg
Start > run >misexec /regserver

If it still doesn't work, try installing the windows installer 3.1 v2. you
can download it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
