One other Outlook issue... Signature inserted into SOME messages started from OFT template.

I have a few OFT files I use as email templates. Most work fine but there
are a couple that insist on inserting my signature at the beginning of the
message.

I double click one OFT file, it opens, has the content that I expect and
nothing more. I double click another OFT file that was created the same way
as the first and it has the expected content, but inserts my 8 line
signature at the top of the message. I've even tried loading a good OFT
file, changing the template and saving it with a new name, but it still
wants to insert the signature to that message.

Can someone explain why my signature gets inserted into some templates but
not others?

I'm using Outlook 2002 SP3.

I've seen this happen in a situation where the signature was somehow
embedded in the form as a hidden attachment. (Never did figure out how that
happened, though.) Just running the form and deleting the signature from the
body of the current item did not resolve the problem. The cure was to use
Outlook Spy (http://www.dimastr.com/outspy/) to remove it, then republish
the form.

FYI, there is a newsgroup specifically for Outlook forms issues "down the
hall" at microsoft.public.outlook.program_forms or, via web interface, at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...rogram_f orms
