"Picture Manager" history removal
Posted by MG. on November 7th, 2003

Hello to all. I have recently (obviously!) upgraded to Office Pro 2003 and
find "Picture Manager" a really nice addition to the Office Suite.
I would, however, like to be able to remove the history from the "Recently
Browsed" pane on the left side in "My Picture Shortcuts".
I can't find anywhere in the settings to do so, nor can I find an entry in
the registry. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the help and best regards,
Morey G.

Hi Morey,

It's stored in an XML file, OISCatalog.CAG
in the <MRU...
tag area which can be edited in Notepad,
but not while Picture Manager is running.

While the 'normal' list of items in the
Picture manager can have just the shortcut
deleted by right clicking, for some reason
in the MRU section if you right click and
delete you'll be deleting the actual contents
from your hard drive while in Picture Manager

Thanks Bob.
It got rid of the "laundry list" of junk that accumulated.
Appreciated,
Morey
