Problems installing Microsoft Office (Student and teacher edition)
Posted by Eddie on September 30th, 2004

I have recently bought the cd rom for the Microsoft office (student and
teacher edition 2003) to install on my windows xp (with service pack 2) and I
repeatedly get the message that reads: "Windows cannot read from this disc.
The disc might be corrupted or using a format that is not compatible with
windows". I have tried the disc on another pc at work and it is running
smoothly. I am able to use the cd drive for other cd roms other than this
specific one. Could it be a problem with my cd configuration or something? I
had previously uninstalled service pack 2 on the advise from microsoft but
that did not help either. This is getting really frustrating!
