Hi Bart,

What edition of MS Office 2000 is this?
Is is the original edition or Office 2000 SR1?

Are you logged in as administrator when doing
the install?

Can you successfully setup a regular (non terminal
server) client PC for Office 2000 from this Office Admin
Point?

Can you zip and send the two setup log files that
are generated in the temp folder when you run the
transform/install on terminal services?

We're trying to set up office 2000 on two Windows 2003
enterprise terminal servers.

Disc one installed, using the terminal transform file.

The second disk, when starting the installer, quits
complaining of an internal error 2733. It is not Project
2000 (checked that), and the transform file is 58k so it
should be the right one for terminals. The first disc
appeared to have installed fine and the terminals say
office 2000 sr-1 is installed.

I've applied SP3 to Office (installable according to
office.microsoft.com) and retried installing disc 2 again,
but the same error occurs.

Anyone run into this problem?? Please respond via
newsgroup and email...thank you!

Admin, yes.

Office admin point? I'm afraid I'm not sure what you
mean; these install images have been used for successful
installs before, yes.

I'll email them to you... thank you!

Hi Bart,

Okay, what I was missing was that this is CD#2
(Publisher/Small Business Tools) of Office 2000,
rather than CD#1 that you're installing.

Termsrv.mst is for CD#1 of Office 2000. For CD#2
see if the information in this article helps
http://support.microsoft.com/?fr=1&kbid=266803

Some of the CD#2 features may not work well on
a Terminal Server including the Office Assistant Actors,
(but set the Office Assistant Assitant to 'run from
my computer' to install the interface for help),
Office 2000 Small Business Tools, Add-in for Scanners
and Cameras and the SysInfo (MSInfo32.exe) applet.
You may want to set those to 'not available' status
and those that you choose to use to

If you encounter any problems you may want to create
a verbose log file rather than the earlier default
(short form ones). That can aid in pinpointing problem
issues.
