- Rolling Back Installation - Installation Successful
- Posted by Nicole on September 1st, 2003
I have two different Win XP machines which are having the
same problem. When I install a Microsoft Product
(Encarta, Publisher 2002, Streets & Trips, Office XP,
Front Page) it continues throughout the installation and
at the very end it starts rolling back the installation
without providing an error message. It is in the process
of registering different items when it does this. I have
full admin rights.
HELP!

Hi Nicole,
It can be a damaged MS Installer, running out of disk space
a setting in the CD ROM drive or a problem with Windows
if you're seeing this a lot.
You may want to check the setup logs you can get to
by typing %TEMP% in Start=>Run.
