- Setting config.xml to read AD information

Is it possible to configure a config.xml file to pull the USERINITIALS and
USERNAME fields from the AD login?
Many of the machines on our campus have been preset with generic
information. We're hoping to somehow reset that information, without asking
1500 customers to input their names.
(I'm not committed to the need to pull this information from AD; it just
seemed like the logical place to pull that info from.)
