How do I transfer MS-office student teacher edition installed on my old
laptop to new one?

Put the disk in and install the software.

Uninstall from the old one and install on the new one. If you have trouble
with activation, use the telephone method.

NO there is no need to uninstall it. Uncle Bill hasn't got the time to
visit you to check that you have uninstalled it. Just install on the
new machine and if necessary, activate it via phone.
It is not a rocket science to do this.

If you don't uninstall the trial and it is *not* the same as the paid
edition, you could have issues.

You are correct that, from a technical standpoint, there is no need to
uninstall it. From a legal standpoint, there is.
I felt it would be inaccurate and irresponsible to suggest otherwise.
