- Windows Installer Runs All the Time

Everytime my user starts an Office 2000 program, the
windows installer kicks in, gathers information, then
opens the program. This is normal when you use office for
the first time, but this has continued for serveral
weeks. Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

I have the same problem with Office XP, have tried
disabling the installer through group policies but it
still runs. Any ideas?
