My computer locked up recently. A technician got it running. I installed
windws 95 first but need to reinstall widows xp pro. Xp trouble has been that
setup will not recognize my authorization code for some reason

Ensure 0 is not O and 8 not B etc

PS assuming an upgrade disk there is no need to install earlier version
first, during the install when it complains you just pop earlier version in
to drive and point the installation to it.
