Can MCE 2005 with compatible Dual TV Tuners Record two shows at on

Is it possible given the proper hardware configuration to record two channels
at the same time using dual TV tuners???

Yes it is.

Note that the two tv signal sources must be the same. (i.e. you can't mix a
digital cable tv signal with an analog tv signal for example)

Groovy, next question: Currently my primary display adapter is a ATI 9800
AIW, I am thinking of adding a Hauppauge Win TV 150 as a secondary tuner.
What do I do for with the audio of the 2nd Tuner, since it seems most if not
all tuner cards rely on a availible line in on a sound card, with two tuner
cards and only one availiable line in port, how do you get the audio from the
second tuner card into the system?

Currently I am using the on board line in port on my mobo (Asus P4P800E
Deluxe) to get audio in from the 9800 AIW. Will I need a second sound card
as well?

Th hauppauge tuner card has its own audio input which you use when importing
video using the S-video input which is also on the tuner card from your
second STB.

You might want to check to see if the AIW card is even MCE compatible, most
really aren't.

Hello,

If I have 2 tuner cards in my mce and not a dual tuner card can I cannot
connect my cable stb to one and regular analog cable to the other??

Thanks,

Ted

But I could bypass the stb and connect an analog cable to each tuner and it
should work, as long as it is the same signal, right?

Tigger, if you are using the latest drivers for your AIW card, CAT 5.13,
then you don't need to use the line-in from your sound card as the sound is
carried by the AGP bus. Do you get TV working with MCE?
