Boot hang at BM menu

One of my boxes sometimes hangs at the Boot Manager menu. CAD works
around the problem, but I would prefer a fix.

Any suggestions?

New Boot Manager after deleting the existing one. Add the boot volumes.
It sounds like you have a mismatch of boot record and boot manager.

Further examination suggests that the computer is booting without
keyboard function.

Does this ring any bells?

in/on the main board. Try to clean out the dust bunnies from the inside
of the machine. If this does not fixes it, then run something like
cpuburn to see if something fails. The reason I suspect hardware
problems, is at this stage of the boot, the system is running entirely
within the BIOS & Boot Manager code, eg. no system components are
loaded. And since my previous suggestion was to replace the Boot
Manager, then we know that you got good Boot Manager code.
