Tell everyone here how you got the eCS clock to work on a *real* OS/2

"The Boob" omits: Everything made available to SWC users was NOT also
available anywhere near the time it was available to SWC users at the time
of its release. eComStation 1.1, when released and continues today, to get
problematic and fails to work or install as advertised.

It is a smarter consumer buy to buy OS/2 directly from the cow instead of
a minor two-man OEM working out of their --- well, no one knows really
where they are working out of because they have no storefront to speak
of. Any eCS consumer who buys into eCS is entirely and totally dependent
upon Serenity Systems for the future of their operating system. Serenity
Systems has proven repeatedly to lie, belittle, attack and whine over the
truth about their problematic product.

In short, eCS is a dead product going nowhere fast. Serenity Systems
has never once paid for or released one new driver, feature, enhancement
or upgrade to OS/2 and relies entirely upon IBM to do that. Serenity's
marketing facade is one of "we'll give it to you first" when in fact,
Serenity
is again totally dependent upon IBM and as an OEM they get offerings
long after 'real' OS/2 customers (SWC or Passport Express customer)
get them first.
More of the false misnomer marketing attempts from the owner of
Serenity Systems. OS/2 is cheaper to purchase from IBM than eCS
is from Serenity Systems and OS/2 actually works whereas, eCS does
not work as advertised, has no official 'tech support' relying entirely
upon others to 'work out the bugs' and even then, fails to meet the
needs of their own customers.

Take this into account: IBM has a long extensive and impressive
list of large corporations known as "Enterprise Customers" who
rely today entirely upon OS/2. Serenity Systems has tried repeatedly
to convince even the smaller Enterprise Customer to use eCS but
has never been able to get one - not one - to take the chance.

IBM's Enterprise customers turn to IBM.

OpenOffice.org is creating OpenOffice for OS/2 and every OS/2 user
will be able to obtain their own copy without begging Serenity Systems
for it. Making facetious and vaporware claims is one of Serenity Systems
most prolific marketing tactics. Serenity announced more than three
years ago they would be selling "Warp 5" and their Mensys distributor
ran full web page advertisements touting the false claim yet today,
Serenity Systems is selling an older version of OS/2. Serenity announced
repeatedly here that Serenity and *only* Serenity would be able to sell
OS/2 after January 1, 2001, yet here we are at Thanksgiving in the year
2003 and OS/2 can be purchased from a great many vendors including
IBM themselves.

Serenity Systems announced repeatedly and illegally here that Serenity
and *only* Serenity would be able to offer the OS/2 user the Journal
File System and yet, here we are today and JFS accompanies every
release of OS/2 since v4.51.

Serenity Systems announced here repeatedly and illegally that Serenity
and *only* Serenity would be developing their own drivers, paid for
by Serenity Systems. Drivers that were impossible to get without
substantial R&D and financial investment. And yet, today, Serenity
Systems has never produced one driver on their own but makes
claims that imply they have by announcing they can give the eCS
Luser new drivers - albiet released to SWC/PA (Passport Advantage)
customers first and long before the eCS Luser gets tired of asking
Serenity "when are the *you name it* drivers currently available to
SWC/PA users" going to be offered to us lonely eCS Lusers?"

And any wise consumer would find fault with an OEM or second class
vendor selling an older version of OS/2 that can only be hidden behind
another name because IBM won't allow them to even mention OS/2
in their product marketing ... and no one here ever has to wonder
why that is when "The Boob" has repeatedly lied, cheated, faked,
misaligned, attacked and whined his way daily through the OS/2
newsgroups.

The eCS product is a *privately owned proprietary commercial package*

"The Boob" omits again: what Serenity offered came a year after
IBM offered them to SWC subscribers AND to get Serenity's offerings
you not only had to wait a very long year but you had to pay a large
fee for an ID and Password that usually failed to gain access 'when
it was working' to a piss-poor server that was slow as molasses and
rarely working properly.

OTOH, SWC/PA subscribers paid a low yearly fee and received
everything quickly and on the day it was released - not a year
later sent to them on CD from another empathic eCS Luser because
the eCS Server 'was down again'.

Not true at all. Passport Express will sell you OS/2 with one year
support for $110 and $10 for each successive year. Quite an advatange
over having your pockets picked by two con artist OEM vendors who can't
provide drivers/fixes within a year's release of them by IBM.

Pretty straightfoward indicator that eComStation is a fraud and ripoff.
You forget, I own a fully licensed copy of eCS v1.0 and 1.1 and both
are/were no where near the cost and neither works as advertised. OTOH,
the OS/2 IBM sent me does work and worked as advertised within 20
minutes of installation.

So name that Enterprise Customer here and now.

OpenOffice for OS/2 will be available to *every* OS/2 user no matter who
distributes it, including XNap and Limewire participants
