- File associations
- Posted by johnsuth@nospam.com.au on December 12th, 2007
My installation of Warp seems to associate html files with PmW-Fx 2.0 because it
assigns the Fx icon to the files in listings.
However when I double click on the listed filename, or drag and drop the
filename onto the Fx desktop object, nothing happens.
The workaround is to open Fx then open the file.
I have a lesser difficulty with .doc files. Double clicking on the listed
filename produces a dialog "acrord32.exe not found", but dragging and dropping
onto the desktop object for OpenOffice opens the file. Acrord32.exe does not
exist on my system.
How can I make life easier for myself?

I suspect that in order to have this work as you want, you would have to add the
Fx directory to your config.sys LIBPATH so that its DLLs can be found by the
WPS.

Get RUN! from:
and set that up. Create a copy of RUN!.EXE in the firefox directory,
and rename it to FIREFOX!.EXE, then change the Fx desktop icon to
point to FIREFOX!.EXE.
That may also work with the other problem.
Hope this helps...
