This is to contradict Bill and set the record straight. Indeed the Gmail invites are from Bob Eager and the offer is legit. His WarpCity exists and is bone fide.
If you want an invite Bob tells me that he still has some and prefers that OS/2 users from these groups are preferred.
Get'm while the're hot.

That's the wrong way around. You can easily ask Bob if it is real.

Captain's log. On StarDate Sat, 11 Sep 2004 05:42:18 GMT received comm from

I think your perhaps a bit too paranoid (even if I personally can't guarantee
that any posting on Usenet is authentic, including this post from Bob, unless
it's signed with a known encryption key).
Gmail invites isn't *that* special (if that was the case the FUDster wouldn't
have them to begin with). They are quite common and I have had invites to it
since the early spring. I also know a lot of other people who has plenty of
them.
I think this has much to do with the way Google wants to do some smart marketing
and also to technically test the scalability and quality of the service (this
way they can increase the number of users in a very controlled fashion).
So to think that everything Gmail == FUDster is to be extremly paranoid (and
also very wrong).
