Dear All,
A conundrum:
I have bb with demon, 512K, works fine. It enters via a router and runs
round the network in the house.
Next month I am being given another telephone line with bb for some work
I shall be doing. When I am working I shall use the BT bb independently.
However when I am not working, there will be nothing to stop me from
joining the BT bb to the network. Will it cause a clash or will I get a
better speed?

You may need to check the conditions under which you're being provided
with the 2nd line - often, companies make it a condition that
work-supplied lines are isolated from your home network and you do not
swap the PC or cables around. This is to avoid virus etc ingress from
your (assumed to be) insecure home PC. Also, the 2nd line may be tied
to a VPN setup ie you won't get access to the bandwidth unless you
login via the VPN, in which case you are disconnected from your home
lan for the duration.
